Summary[]
Tanya and Jack are stunned by Max's surprise guest, Shabnam sees an opportunity to change her family's fortunes and Jase tries to make Dawn's dreams come true.
Jane is fretting as Ian closes the café for a private party. He delegates Jane to decorate and organise it, which displeases her. Meanwhile, Zainab panics over a lack of cash to buy the ingredients. In the café, Dawn tells Jase about a wedding fair, but he's not keen. Tanya walks in and informs Max that lunch at Fargo's is now 1.30pm and stresses that it's about the kids. Max leaves and makes a call. Jane ropes Peter in to help decorate the café and asks Zainab for advice. Zainab has too much on her mind and walks off. Out of desperation, Jane hires Bianca to spruce up the café, but at a price! Christian teaches Lucy a lesson by giving her chores to do after last night's drunken behaviour. She sulks, and proceeds to invite Dawn and half the Square to Ian's party. Dawn excitedly heads off to buy new outfits. At the Masoods', Ian tastes the curry and twigs they've had help. But he doesn't seem to care, as it tastes good! Meanwhile, Bianca converts the café into an Indian eaterie. Ian and Jane love it. Dawn and Jase arrive at Ian's event, but they're not invited. Christian finds out Lucy's to blame and gives her a list of ground rules. Dawn cries, and Jase promises her a brighter future. He goes out to make money. Ian's at the Masoods' wanting to enrol them as full-time chefs. Shabnam sees their panic and says 'no.' She shows him the door and explains to her parents that they don't need Ian to make a successful business. Ricky plays with Jack's stereo and points out that his flat is paradise. Jack mulls it over. Later, Tanya meets him in Fargo's and notices he's distant. Both of them are distracted when Max walks in. His guest is Ronnie. |
