Summary[]

A visit to Chloe shows Martin the real meaning of fatherhood, Laura struggles to make a new start, and Peggy has some unexpected advice for Lisa.

Dot's concerned that Ashley didn't come home. Nick tells her to forget about him - he's left because he doesn't want to look after a cripple! Dot's shocked and wants to call the police but Nick won't let her.

It's moving day for Ian and Laura. Ian's feeling sorry for himself but Laura keep things going. Mark spots her and offers to round up some helping hands.

It's Janine's first day out on her own. Terry's concerned about who she might run into but Janine's very excited and promises to keep her mobile on.

Barry meets Beppe in the café and offers him the controller's job. He can even bring Joe to work if he needs to. Beppe agrees to do a two week trial starting today.

Dot calls into Pauline's to air her worries about Ashley. Pauline suggests ringing his mum as that's the obvious place he'd go to. Dot eventually discovers that is indeed where he's gone.

In the market, Zoe asks Mo if her passport is ready yet. Mo tells her to check with her dad. Zoe also puts a request in to have a party next week for her birthday.

Lisa has a chat with Peggy and admits to destroying the tape of Ben. Peggy's shocked that she'd do such a thing and tells her it's not a competition - she shouldn't try and compete with Ben.

In the Vic, Mark admits to Laura he couldn't get anybody to help with the move. Disgusted, Laura turns to the others and announces that no matter what they think, Ian and his kids have lost their home today. They're all shamed into helping her. Garry spots the can of petrol outside Mark's house. When he tells Mark about it, Mark heads straight to Nick. He accuses him of making Ashley do his dirty work but, unluckily for Nick, Ashley now gone. Nick informs him he'll get his revenge eventually.

At the end of the day, Terry spots Janine looking sorry for herself. Terry breaks the good news - someone rang up to say they're taking one of the flats that Janine had showed them.

Robbie's also having a good day. Mo's come up with the goods and hands him over the engagement ring. It's not quite a diamond, but the next best thing.

Ian's sitting on the swings, thinking, when Phil comes along to gloat about his downfall. Ian points out that he has a woman who loves him and three children compared to what Phil has. He goes home to Laura and can't believe everything she's done for him.

Pauline and Martin go to see Chloe. Pauline can barely contain her excitement but Martin isn't so keen. He has to force himself to hold Chloe. When they arrive home, Pauline remarks on how much Chloe has grown and that they should arrange another visit soon. Martin goes to sit on the stairs and hangs his head in despair.
