Dennis is forced into making an important decision. Alfie tries to break it off with Kat but finds it difficult.

Sharon panics about Dennis's departure. She calls Pat, who reveals that Dennis dashed into the bookies and grabbed a handful of cash from the safe. Chrissie urges Sharon to follow Dennis to the airport. Pauline suggests that Sharon's better off without him. Sharon has second thoughts and Pauline cancels her cab. Chrissie's annoyed by Pauline's interference. Mo's irritated by Kat's absences from the stall and wishes she'd sort herself out. She asks Little Mo if Kat looks like getting back with Alfie. Little Mo pretends that she doesn't know what's going on between them. Keith and Rosie rail against Leo. They're angry with Demi for seeing him behind their backs. Demi sticks up for her boyfriend, and points out that her parents' feud is with Leo's dad. Kat pops round for a chat with Alfie. Nana's distraught and won't tell Alfie what's upsetting her. Kat manages to uncover her problem, and they're soon laughing. Alfie's bemused. Chrissie's adamant that Sharon needs to be with Dennis. Sharon doesn't want to keep running after him, but Chrissie insists that they're meant to be together. Chrissie's so keen to see the back of Sharon that she helps her pack and walks her to the tube station. Sharon bumps into Pat who stuns her by revealing that Dennis is still in Walford. Kat explains that Nana needed a hand with getting dressed. She was too embarrassed to ask Alfie. He's grateful for her help and can't bring himself to tell her the real reason he wanted to see her. Sharon marches into the bookies and slaps Dennis. He's shocked and asks what he's done now. He explains that he's only been to the travel agents to change their tickets. Sharon realises that she's misjudged him. Demi declares that she's in love with Leo. Keith shouts her down and forbids her from seeing him. Demi explains that Aleesha is Leo's baby as well, and they can't shut him out of her life. Sharon assures Dennis that she never had any wedding plans in mind. Dennis wonders what would be so terrible about getting married anyway. Sharon asks if he's proposing to her. Dennis admits that he is - and Sharon accepts! Kat leaves Alfie with renewed hope. She bumps into Billy and tells him about Little Mo's tears in the park. Kat's sure that Little Mo's still in love with Billy. Darren sees Leo's bruised face and offers to help. Leo thinks that Darren's mocking him and lays into him. Demi's almost convinced her parents to let Leo see Aleesha, when news of the fight reaches them. Keith threatens Leo with the police. Leo scarpers, and Keith turns on Demi. There's not a chance that he'll ever allow Leo anywhere near his family after that. Little Mo's disappointed to learn that Alfie bottled out of breaking their news to Kat. She sees that Kat's cheerful after her meeting with Alfie. Little Mo glances gloomily at Alfie. Chrissie's horrified when Sharon and Dennis return to the Vic to announce their engagement. She forces herself to appear pleased, just when she thought that she'd seen the last of them. |
