Summary[]
After a relaxing break abroad, Pat returns to the Square and receives a shock when she discovers that Jane has taken over in the café. Initially perturbed, she quickly bonds with the feisty newcomer, and together they prove more than a match for Ian. Den continues to court the affections of both Chrissie and Kate and sneaks out to present Kate with a romantic gift. With Chrissie on the prowl, he's forced to hide the gift but the situation becomes even more complicated. Chrissie finds a hidden necklace and assumes it's intended for her. Elsewhere, Andy warns Minty to stay out of matters that don't concern him and a shaken Minty tells Billy that he had better watch his back as well.

Pat returns from New Zealand. She helps Jane with the accounts and chats to Chrissie about fitting in. Jane insists to Ian that she'll invite who she likes into the café. Ian stands to put the accounts away. Den buys Kate a pendant. Chrissie interrupts his attempt to give it to her. When Chrissie later sees it he explains that he bought it for Ian to give to Kate. Chrissie apologises to Den but tells him if it turned out there was another woman, she'd just leave. He says he doesn't want that. Chrissie sees Vicki looking for work in the club. Charlie won't listen to Mo's race night scheme but changes his mind after Mo and Mickey get Patrick and Jim onto him. Andy threatens Minty and Sam thanks Minty for being on her side. Garry has bought a classic car to do up. Dot tries to speak to Doctor Leroy but leaves after he suggests she make an appointment. |
