Summary[]
After practising his proposal technique, Jay organises a romantic lunch and pops the question to Lola. Gray reveals he is planning to represent Whitney in an attempt to win back his position at the law firm, while Chantelle declines Kheerat's offer of a job - but soon has reason to regret it. Rainie's past comes back to haunt her when an ex-client arrives at Coker's, and Tiffany feels left out as Iqra and Keegan work on their loan application.
Lexi helps Jay perfect his proposal speech to Lola. Jay then asks Lola to meet him and Lexi for lunch. Gray feels more optimistic about the future of Whitney's case after deciding to go self-employed. Whitney stands true to her word and refuses to eat anything given to her. Rainie is shaken upon seeing a former client of hers from when she was a prostitute at the funeral parlour. Ash demands that Suki heads over to Number 31 to apologise to Jean. Tiffany feels pushed aside by Keegan as he becomes more determined than ever to prove himself to people. Peter flirts with Lola whilst completing a personal training session with Habiba. Jay spots the pair talking. Mick plans an evening meal to Walford East with Linda to keep her distracted from her alcoholism. Lola arrives at Number 55 for lunch with Jay and Lexi. Jay proposes to Lola and she is speechless. She asks Lexi to leave the room and proceeds to tell Jay she cannot marry him. Stuart tells Rainie that the past is in the past and reassures her they are both changed people. A devastated Jay tells Lola he finds it weird that Peter returns to the Square and their relationship then starts to fall apart. He ends it when she says she is not the right person for him if he wants children so badly. Sonia and Tiffany visit Gray, stunned to learn that Whitney is on hunger strike. They demand he visits her at once. Suki's pathetic attempt at an apology causes Jean to shout with anger. Jean demands they leave her house but Suki nastily reminds her that the house is actually hers. Keegan notices a forlorn Tiffany in the market and learns of Whitney's situation. He supports her as they head home. Ash tells Suki that she and Vinny will never forgive her for what she has done. Kheerat catches Chantelle and offers her a job at his call centre when it is up and running. She rejects his offer. Gray visits Whitney and advises her to start eating again as he works hard to get her out. Denise tells Chantelle that she will not be needed at the salon as a full-time stylist anymore. Lola heads to the Prince Albert to drown her sorrows and finds Peter there. They get drunk together as they discuss their relationship breakdowns. Rainie gives Linda a harsh home truth when Linda calls her a "junkie" at Walford East. Jay texts Lola asking if they can talk as she and Peter drunkenly snog in the street. |
