Dear Admins / Moderators,
I have recently found a Fandom feature which would be beneficial in encouraging users to edit and contribute to the wiki. This is a Fandom built-in feature called 'Achievements', which credits users for completing certain tasks for the wiki.
The 'tasks' required for badges are predetermined and cannot be changed/added, meaning custom ones cannot be created, however this is still a great way to engage editing from users.
When badges are obtained, these are displayed on the sidebar of an editor's user page, whilst also being present on the leaderboard, which ranks users according to how many badge points have been achieved. An example of this is the CBBC wiki, where my userpage contains 2 badges, which is also visible on the leaderboard.
If you wish to read up further information on this, information regarding badges available can be found here. Similarly, information on how to activate this feature on our wiki can be found here.
Thank you for reading this, and I look forward to hearing your opinions.
