Hi all, I just wanted to check where we stand on family categories as it's a conversation that i don't believe has been had before.
I've recently had an editor disagree with some of the placements in family categories. For example I added Sandy Gibson and Jim Branning into the Cotton family categories as I personally believe they are extended family. To me family isn't all about blood, in my opinion they're Cotton family but obviously not by blood. The reason I put Sandy in the Cotton family categories is because she had a child with Nick Cotton.
Jim married into the family becoming stepfather to Nick. Do you all think instances like these are enough to qualify for the family category or do you think we should stick to blood relatives only. I'm fine with whichever as I can see the points on both sides. Thanks.
